The Rise Of The Humanoids The Seven Incite Rebellion

With Sija and Akaia guiding the humanoid races in the arts of magic, and the shunned half-dragons quickly allying themselves with their humanoid parents, the beginnings of one of the greatest wars in the history of Alvena was in the making. The dragons in their prideful arrogance didn't notice the activities of the humans beneath them; until it was too late…

The first act of rebellion occurred when the daughter of an elven elder was eaten by her white-dragon lord; who openly mocked that the elves tasted best while they were young and fresh. The elven community, having quickly adapted to the arts of magic, unleashed the first assault against the dragon lord who was taken by surprise. A rain of fire-balls, enlarged warriors wielding metal tools, picks, and shovels, barreled into the dragon as magic unleashed itself through their ranks from those gifted with the attentions of Sija and Akaia. The dragon was overpowered in only a few minutes as slaves rose against him even into the air as he tried to fly to escape. They killed the dragon, and then they cut him to pieces and ate him, and took his hide for their armor. The word spread through message spells amongst the slave races that the time for their uprising had come, and slaves across the world began to rise against the dragons that ruled over them. Armed with enchanted weaponry, the half-dragon spawn challenged their parents with their unnatural strength and resolve against their deadly breath; armed with veils of mystical protections and enhancements…

Eventually the dragons realized what was going on and began waging war against the humanoids. The dragons with their cunning and innate magical power used spies, treachery, deception, and superior tactics against the humanoid rebellion. The unprepared humanoids quickly began to be pressed back on the defensive and were quickly being wiped out. It was at this time that the other gods intervened once more.

Caedren and Kray'ci traveled across their world, teaching the humanoids understanding of tactics, and rational combat; while Kuja and Geraldus taught the humanoids to fight with rage and without mercy or forgiveness, teaching them countless under-handed tricks to use against the dragons. Finally, Duron came and taught them the power and reasoning of the scientific mind. Armed with understanding of these esoteric concepts, the humanoids countered every attack by the dragons with a violent retaliation and crushed through dragon defenses with reckless abandon. As both sides continually adapted to each other and fought their world-spanning war, the world of Alvena was rocked by the conflict; and countless miles of land was decimated in the warfare which lasted centuries.

At the end of it all, the humanoids reigned supreme and the dragons were forced into hiding; their numbers dwindling while the fast breeding humanoids spread across the world. The age of dragons had come to a close, and the humanoids wielded the weapons of the gods. The world would never be the same…

As the gods watched their creations destroying each other, they made an oath between each other that they wouldn't directly intervene with the mortals again; realizing that the problems were the fault of the gods at a fundamental level. The gods weren't perfect, and so they vanished from sight and some say existence. Over centuries, they were lost, and eventually forgotten.
