This small construct looks like a mechanical maiden with hair-like spikes along its head that has four arms and a spark of intelligence in her artificial eyes. She seems to be busily tinkering with some sort of runic blade.

Languages Artisan golems can speak up to three languages known by their creator.
Artisan Assistance (Ex) An artisan golem is created for the purpose of assisting in the creation of magic and psionic items. When their master begins the process of creating an item with an item creation feat, the artisan golem can be imprinted with the required knowledge and skill for the purposes of crafting the item. The master makes any necessary skill checks, casts any required spells or psionic powers (which are stored by the artisan golem's magical absorption), and provides all the needed material components and caster level. Then the master may substitute the artisan golem for herself for the crafting time; allowing the master to do other things during the creation process; or even begin a different project altogether.
Immunity to Magic (Ex) An artisan golem is immune to any spell or spell-like ability that allows spell resistance.
Magical Absorbtion (Ex) An artisan golem is immune to magic just as most golems, except that artisan golems absorb magic that is cast into them. An artisan golem that is targeted by a magical effect, or within the radius of a magical effect, absorbs the spell instead of being affected by it. In the case of spells that affect more than one target, or in a spell with an area of effect, the spell functions normally for all other targets or creatures in range except the artisan golem, who is unaffected and is treating as absorbing the spell. Spells that don't target the artisan golem and those that ignore spell resistance must be willingly channeled into the golem by the caster - a process similar to expending a spell during magic item creation - for them to be absorbed by the artisan golem. Due to transparency this applies to psionic powers as well.
Artisan golems are small four-armed machinations created by their masters to assist in item creation. While commonly known as golems, artisan golems are more like homunculi in the sense that they are bound to their creator. An artisan golem cannot function for anyone except their creator, and thus aren't available for purchase; and must be crafted using the Craft Construct feat. While they could be used as guardians or sentries (especially against magical enemies), artisan golems are relatively fragile compared to most golems and generally are carefully guarded by their masters.
Unlike most golems, artisan golems are created by harnessing opposing energy types (such as positive and negative or fire and cold), creating a sort of magical friction inside of them that functions as a power source. It is then instilled with a portion of the creator's soul (this does not harm the creator and the soul merely reforms itself) and is given a personality by the creator upon its creation. Many spellcasters treat their artisan golems much like children; and some lonely spellcasters keep them as company.
